France – January, 30th –
Lyreco wins the European Office Products Award in the Corporate Social Responsibility category.
On 30th January 2012, Lyreco were awarded the European Office Products Award for Corporate Social Responsibility in front of more than 350 guests at the prestigious annual awards dinner, which is organised by OPI during the Paperworld exhibition in Frankfurt.
The Corporate Social Responsibility award was received by Steve Law – CEO for Lyreco. The entries have been judged by a panel of office products industry executives, including 3M, Avery, Brother, Esselte, Fellowes, Pilot, Quantore and OPI.
The short listed companies for the award were: BIC, Esselte, Lyreco, Office Team, Staples.
The assessment criteria and elements taken into account by the judges were:
- ► The CSR programmes, practices and policies that enhance the company as a socially and environmentally aware operation.
- ►The steps taken to develop a more responsible corporate culture. This could be green initiatives, educational/motivational initiatives for employees or customers, training etc.
- ►The additional schemes to improve the operational impact. For example, community initiatives, joint ventures with local governments and NGOs, etc.
- ►The effective monitoring of our CSR initiatives.
OPI said “Judges praised Lyreco as a company that lives, works and breathes its approach to CSR, consistent in everything it does”.
This award received with great pride by all the Lyreco employees who contribute on a daily basis to our Sustainability strategy.

Lyreco has been awarded twice just in few days for its sustainable development actions
Lyreco in France has received two awards within a few days of one another for its Sustainable Development actions.
The first award “Trophée Alliances” was received by Lyreco CEO October, 20th 2010. In addition, Lyreco obtained a special prize for the consistency of its overall actions in terms of Sustainable Development.
The second award “Trophée Horizon” was presented to Christophe Chambre (Managing Director France) October, 28th 2010. The analysis of the files was done by an independent committee including the leading research centre in France on Corporate Social Responsibility (Novéthic) and the Sustainable Development Purchasing Department of Credit Agricole (Corporate Bank).
Employees are incredibly proud of the awards as it is with their daily contribution to our sustainable development strategy that have helped to achieve these awards.
